EchoPal Repeating Talking Hamster

Say something to him and he says it straight back, a little higher and a lot funnier, nodding his head the whole time. That is the entire trick, and it works on absolutely everybody.

The EchoPal Repeating Talking Hamster is a 16.5 cm plush hamster with a microphone and a small motor. He repeats whatever he hears — any word, any language, a song, a laugh, a cough — and bobs his head up and down while he does it.

Pat him on the back and he nods again. Children work out the rules within about ten seconds and then spend the next hour testing them, which is roughly the same hour the adults in the room spend laughing.
