The trouble with a chocolate advent calendar is that it is over in four seconds and gone by the eighth of December. Nothing is left of it but a tray.

The BrickDoors 24-Day Building Block Advent Calendar puts a small bag of bricks behind each of the 24 doors. Ten minutes of building in the morning, and a finished ornament that goes straight on the tree.

By Christmas Eve the tree carries 24 of them — a wreath, a snowflake, a nutcracker, a gingerbread house, a penguin, a candy cane, a lollipop, a little train, a stocking, Santa himself. They are built, not unwrapped, and that is the difference.

Good to Know

🗓 24 doors: one bagged model behind each, numbered 01 to 24
🎄 Every model hangs: each one is built with a loop or a cord for the tree
🧱 Bricks: small self-locking building blocks · picture instructions in the box
🧒 Age: 6 years and over — contains small parts, not suitable for children under 3
📖 Format: fold-out card calendar with a moulded tray behind the doors

Why You'll Love It

🎄 It Decorates the Tree as It Goes
Each day's build ends up hanging on a branch. The tree fills up through December instead of being finished on the first weekend, and the children did it.

⏱ Ten Minutes, Not Four Seconds
A small bag of bricks takes long enough to be a proper part of the morning. It is the one advent calendar that slows the day down rather than speeding it up.

🧱 24 Different Models
No repeats. Snowflake, panda, reindeer, nutcracker, gingerbread house, present, candy cane, lollipop, train, penguin, stocking, wreath, bells and more, right through to Santa on the 24th.

🤫 Nobody Knows What Is Next
The doors are sealed and the bags opaque. The surprise is genuine, which is more than can be said for a calendar where every window smells the same.

🍫 Nothing to Eat
For a child who should not be having chocolate before breakfast every day for three weeks, this is the obvious alternative — and nobody feels short-changed.

🪑 Something to Do Together
Small bricks and a numbered step sheet make it a two-person job most mornings. It is a few minutes at the table rather than a wrapper on the floor.

📦 It Keeps
The ornaments are built to last the season and go back in a box in January. Next December they come out as decorations, and the calendar has paid for itself twice.

🧩 Fine Motor Practice Without Calling It That
Finding a one-stud piece and getting it on straight is real hand work. It happens to be dressed up as Christmas.

🎁 A Present in Its Own Right
The whole thing arrives as a folding card calendar that looks like a gift before it is opened. It does not need wrapping up in anything else.

🧱 They Fit the Bricks You Own
Standard studs, so the leftovers go in the same box as everything else and the odd spare piece is never wasted.

A Countdown That Leaves Something Behind

Keep the small instruction sheets together in the lid — they are the fastest way to rebuild anything that comes apart.

Open the day's door over a tray or a plate. One missing stud is the difference between a reindeer and nearly a reindeer.

24 doors, 24 ornaments, one tree that fills itself 🎄🧱
